1. Site Preparation
Confirm floor load, clearance, and traffic pathways before delivery. Mark utility access for power, water supply, and drainage. We recommend a level, non‑porous surface and at least 36 inches of clearance around the operating area to service plumbing, replace filters, and clean properly. Verify local health code requirements for backflow preventers and sanitation access; installing these up front prevents rework and downtime.
2. Power and Grounding
Connect the chair to a dedicated 110–240V circuit with proper grounding. Avoid daisy‑chaining power strips. Inspect cables for pinch points, especially where the chair reclines. If your salon uses GFCI outlets near wet areas, test the GFCI after connection. Label the circuit at the panel for quick identification during maintenance or emergency power‑off procedures.
3. Plumbing and Drainage
Use approved supply lines with shut‑off valves and ensure the drain line has the correct slope to prevent standing water. For pipeless whirlpool systems, follow manufacturer torque specs on unions and never over‑tighten. After connecting, run warm water to check for leaks at all joints. Keep towels and a pan ready during first run in case of seepage while seals seat.
4. First‑Run Calibration
Power on the chair and cycle through all functions: recline, footrest, massage modes, LED lighting, and jet operation. Listen for abnormal noise or vibration. Check that the massage track reaches full travel smoothly. For LED systems, verify each color channel. Document any issues and address them before the chair’s first client appointment.
5. Safety and Hygiene
Train staff on sanitation protocols, including bowl disinfection and jet cleaning between clients. Keep an inspection log for weekly checks (fasteners, cables, seals). Provide a quick‑reference guide near the station to standardize operation and reduce misuse. Finally, register your warranty to activate service coverage and streamline support.
